Meet Jason

Jason Critchlow is a lifelong South Bend resident, Washington High School graduate, husband, father, and community leader who believes local government should work for the people it serves.

  • Nearly two decades managing complex projects in the private sector.
  • Created South Bend's permanent senior center.
  • Strengthened renter protections and property inspections.
  • Built partnerships around fire and EMS services.

Growth should create opportunity, strengthen neighborhoods, and improve quality of life for the people who already call this city home.

A City Hall That Works

Government should answer the phone, solve problems, and treat residents like customers, not inconveniences. Residents shouldn't have to fight City Hall just to get basic services and answers. I believe government should be responsive, transparent, accountable, and focused on results.

Strong Neighborhoods and Housing People Can Afford

South Bend's growth should strengthen existing neighborhoods as well as create new development. No matter where you live, your neighborhood deserves attention, investment, and opportunity. Housing should be affordable, safe, and stable.

Safe and Healthy Communities

People don't experience safety through statistics. They experience it when they're comfortable walking their neighborhood, visiting downtown, and letting their children play outside. Every family deserves to feel safe where they live.

Everyone Has a Place at the Table

South Bend should not only be a great place to invest. It should be a great place to build a life. Economic growth should create opportunities for the people who already live here and work hard every day.
